Happy holidays to all our friends. We hope you enjoy this year’s seasonal card which was inspired by one of the more beautiful and evocative true detective magazine covers from 1937.
For most visitors to the dojo these amenities will remain invisible. But for those rope tops and bottoms, photographers, graphic artists and observers who are over 50 or who suffer from health issues that are even more dangerous when exposed to Covid, we hope they will provide some much-needed peace of mind. For us Kinbaku is all about pleasure, beauty and safety, and we always do everything in our power to preserve these pillars of our beautiful art form.
The damsel in distress in our card is the talented model and actress Dani Power and the photography is by the brilliant Michael Helms. For those that are interested, we hope that a new book of photographs will be coming out late in the new year. And Dani starred in the short film “Norma Place” which will also be released in 2025. We wish you all a joyous holiday season and a happy and healthy new year!
